FORMER Saint Peter Crouch has revealed the "embarrassing" moment Theo Walcott and Nathan Dyer burst onto the scene.
The two youngsters were invited to train with the first team by Harry Redknapp.
However, Crouch admitted that ex-boss Redknapp was "fuming" with the duo.
Speaking on That Peter Crouch Podcast, the former striker said: “These two young lads came over and started absolutely ripping our two centre-halves to shreds in two vs two.
"It was embarrassing – they were megging them, outpacing them and whipping balls in.
"It was attack vs defence but they were constantly scoring goals, and Harry was fuming."
Walcott made his Saints debut in October 2005 and then signed joined Arsenal in January 2006 for a £12million fee.
Dyer traded St Mary's for Swansea in 2009.
