IN-FORM frontman Dan N’Lundulu said he was pleased to be trusted by Ralph Hasenhuttl and added: “I’ve got to keep showing him that I’m the one.”
The promising 20-year-old, who made his senior debut against Everton last month, hit a hat-trick for Saints B in their 5-2 Premier League 2 win over Manchester City on Saturday.
That success came in front of first-team boss Hasenhuttl and N’Lundulu was pleased to find the net in front of the Austrian.
N’lundulu told the club website: “I’m happy that the manager is giving me his trust, keep putting me in the squad.
“I’ve got to keep showing him that I’m the one.
"Playing like this is great. We’ve got some good players and hopefully we’ll all get into that first team.
“It’s nice for him (Hasenhuttl) to see it live. I’ve just got to keep going, keep working hard, keep scoring goals and hopefully my chance will come.”
N’Lundulu has also been on the bench for Saints’ top-flight encounters against Aston Villa and Newcastle this season.
