RALPH Hasenhuttl confirmed Saints could be without "one more player" for tomorrow's visit of Chelsea, but stopped short of confirming their identity.
Saints are already definitely without Kyle Walker-Peters, Ibrahima Diallo and Theo Walcott, as well as long-term absentees Michael Obafemi and Will Smallbone.
But Hasenhuttl is also bracing himself for further bad news ahead of tomorrow's game at St Mary's (12.30pm).
"We have a few other issues, but I don't want to speak about them now," the boss told the Saints official website.
"It can be definitely that a few more, or one more player, is out for the weekend. But we don't know it now."
Discussing the hamstring injury suffered by Walker-Peters against Wolves on Sunday, Hasenhuttl said: "He was back and played some good games but, yeah, this is never-ending story of this season that we always have problems with injuries and hopefully there is nobody else then coming to these injuries we have.
“With Ibra (Diallo), with him, with Theo Walcott we miss three important players for our game but, okay, that’s it and we have to trust the players that we have.”
