MANCHESTER City star Kevin de Bruyne insists his side must focus on Saints, as they look to get back to winning ways at home tomorrow (6pm).
The Belgium international played 90 minutes on Sunday, as Pep Guardiola saw his team’s 21-game winning run come to an end against Manchester United.
City are still a considerable 11 points clear in the Premier League title race but playmaker de Bruyne is taking nothing for granted.
“The gap is there but we have to focus on Southampton,” he said.
“It doesn’t matter how big the gap is as we want to win the next game. That is on Wednesday against Southampton and we have to be ready for it.
“We play game by game, we don't think about the winning streak or what’s going to happen in four or five matches ahead.
“We need to pick ourselves up because we have another important match on Wednesday. We are going to try to do our job and win again.”
