SEVEN members of Saints' squad are set for senior international action over the next fortnight, with two more in line to feature for their country's under-21s.

Qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup are set to get going this week, with captain James Ward-Prowse among those set to add to their caps tally.

He with England could face Saints team-mate Jan Bednarek in Group I, after matches against San Marino and Albania.

Also set to take part in World Cup qualifiers are Che Adams and Stuart Armstrong. Adams has received his first Scotland call-up and could debut against Austria on Thursday, alongside experienced international Armstrong.

In the same group, Jannik Vestergaard faces three games with Denmark.

A little further afield, Takumi Minamino will be hoping to help Japan get one step closer to Qatar 2022 when they face Mongolia next week.

Moussa Djenepo is the first Saints star with a game scheduled this week, with Mali taking on Guinea in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Meanwhile, Alex Jankewitz is set for a taste of tournament football with Switzerland. The group stages of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship kick off this week, with the Swiss set to face England, Croatia and Portugal.

Will Ferry could also feature in a friendly for Republic of Ireland under-21s.
