YOUNG defender Kayne Ramsay described as an "inspiration" watching fellow full-backs Ryan Bertrand and Kyle Walker-Peters.
Ramsay, 20, recently penned a two-year contract extension, committing his future to Saints until 2023.
The London-born ace has been a regular member of Saints' matchday squad this season, featuring twice for the first team, most recently as a late substitute in the FA Cup quarter-final win at Bournemouth.
And he says learning from first-choice pair Walker-Peters and Bertrand has helped develop his game.
"It's an inspiration for me watching players like Kyle and Bertie," Ramsay told the Saints website.
"Bertie is very intelligent. He's got a lot of different sides of the game.
"He thinks a lot quicker, which is maybe something I need to learn on.
"Kyle rarely loses the ball, also quick, also smart, he's engaged to what the manager wants to do.
"So I think it's a lot of help for me because I'm looking up to them and hopefully can push as much as they have and have a career like Ryan Bertrand has."
