BOSS Ralph Hasenhuttl insisted Saints did not yet know about the future of Liverpool loanee Takumi Minamino.
The Japan international joined up with the St Mary’s outfit in February and has since played seven times, scoring on two occasions.
Minamino is ineligible to face parent club Liverpool with Saints on Saturday, with Hasenhuttl insisting “we do not know yet” when asked about the 26-year-old’s future.
Asked whether there had been any talks regarding Minamino for next season, Hasenhuttl said: “No, not yet. We try to give him as much game time as possible.
“I think he felt quite comfortable with us, he showed in the last game against Leicester also his defensive qualities, he was working hard for the team.
“His mentality is of a very strong player.
“He made a good job in the few attempts he had for us and we don’t know yet what happens in the summer.”
