SAINTS have confirmed the departure of midfielder Callum Slattery, who joins Scottish Premiership side Motherwell for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the club north of the border and will wear the number 16 shirt.
Slattery had spent over a decade with Saints and made his Premier League debut against Leicester in January 2019.
As well as playing five times for the club, he also enjoyed loan spells with Gillingham and Dutch side De Graafschap, but now looks to forge his own pathway in the game with a new permanent residence.
Motherwell manager Graham Alexander was pleased with the acquisition, telling the club website: “We’re delighted to bring Callum to our club.
“He’s a young player with so much potential and we believe he’ll add real quality to our midfield.

All the best, Callum! 🤝
“He’s already played in the Premier League, and we know he can be a real asset for us on the pitch.
“We’ve been speaking with him for a while now, and it’s great that we finally have him here.”
Slattery is also a former England under-20 international and will look forward to an opportunity to potentially make a debut for his new club, as they kick off their Scottish Premiership campaign with a visit from Hibernian on Sunday August 1.
