RALPH Hasenhuttl has made nine changes to his Saints side for this evening's Carabao Cup contest at Newport County.
The only two to retain their spots are Jack Stephens and captain James Ward-Prowse.
Striker Armando Broja, on loan from Chelsea, makes his debut while there are also starts for Moi Elyounoussi, Kyle Walker-Peters and Yan Valery.
Fraser Forster starts in goal with Alex McCarthy, along with the likes of Adam Armstrong, Che Adams and Tino Livramento left out altogether ahead of Saturday's Premier League trip to Newcastle.
Saints XI: Forster, Walker-Peters, Stephens, Bednarek, Valery, Diallo, Ward-Prowse, Redmond, Tella, Broja, Elyounoussi.
Subs: Salisu, Perraud, Romeu, Walcott, Obafemi, Long, Lewis (g/k).
Sadly the Echo have been denied entry into tonight's match by Newport, due to the press box being oversubscribed. As such there will be no live blog, but post-match reaction will be available as always via our website.
