RALPH Hasenhuttl’s Saints face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Saints progressed through the second round in remarkable fashion with an 8-0 victory over League Two Newport County – their record away win in any competition – with a heavily rotated side.
Moi Elyounoussi hit a hattrick while debutant Armando Broja bagged a brace, including an opener just nine minutes into the contest.
Their Championship opponents progressed after defeating Wayne Rooney’s Derby 2-1 on Tuesday, with ex-Saint Billy Sharp and Luke Freeman scoring.
In the league, they have only picked up one point in four opening matches and have found the net just once, as they try to bounce back from Premier League relegation.
Ties are due to be played week commencing Monday, September 20.
