STRIKER Michael Obafemi has tonight sealed a permanent move to join Swansea City from Saints.
The 21-year-old Republic of Ireland international completed a medical with the Swans and has agreed to link up with Russell Martin’s men.
It is reported the fee for the move is £1.5million, rising to £2million with add-ons.
Obafemi was understood to have just a year remaining on his contract at Saints.
He came off the bench in last week’s 8-0 hammering of Newport in the Carabao Cup second round at Rodney Parade.
The forward had been set to join the Swans on loan in January but suffered a quad injury which required surgery and scuppered any deal.
Obafemi, who came through the youth ranks at St Mary’s, made 39 appearances in all competitions for Saints – scoring five goals.
