LOCAL clubs have learned of their FA Cup third qualifying round ties – of which victory in pits you just one game from the first round proper of the prestigious competition.
Sholing have been drawn away to Greater London side Bedfont Sports Club, who compete in the Isthmian League South Central Division.
Lymington Town, should they progress into the stage following an upcoming replay, are also on the road and will travel to Surrey-based Isthmian Premier Merstham.
Lymington held National League North and phoenix club of a former Football League outfit Hereford to a 2-2 draw to ensure their name would remain in the hat with a replay to come.
Meanwhile Sholing defeated division-above Southern League Premier side Tiverton Town 3-1 away from home.
Third round qualifying ties will take place on the weekend of Saturday 2 October, with victorious teams winning a prize fund of £5,625. Losers will take home £1,875.
