SAINTS were left stumped by visitors Wolves as they fell to a 1-0 defeat and couldn’t register a goal for a third successive Premier League game.
Whatever the question was, Ralph Hasenhuttl and the Saints side didn’t have the answer and if they were still there on the pitch I’m not sure if they would or wouldn’t have found it still.
It has left supporters with a number of questions and feelings of frustration, with a difficult trip to Chelsea to come next – and that could leave the side with just four points from seven matches.
Here’s how our Daily Echo readers reacted to that performance:
Mr. Profit of Rage said: Absolute garbage. 18 points in 27 games.
Something HAS to change.
R.A.Zimmerman replied: Better quality players ?
canadasaint1 said: Romeu- Good in defence but far too slow with the ball. Does KWP ever ptractice crossing it with his left foot? We have a decent left footed fullback - give him a game. not physical enough today - boy did we miss Stephens
leavessweeper said: Ralph should do the decent thing and fall on his sword. He's had enough chances now. We need direction not experimentation.
R.A.Zimmerman replied: That might be true if his teams weren't creating chances. They are though, just like Leeds and Wolves. You can't blame the managers, when they aren't converted. That's down to the quality of players, and their decision making.
andyflowers said: Ings sold. No goals being scored. What a surprise! Lincoln next season
Egomaniac said: To lose at home to Wolves is not far short of shameful! Never thought I'd say this, but I believe Ralph should consider his future. Problem is, who of any quality would want to replace him. I despair!!
Michigan-Saint added: Offensively, that was predictable and bad. Broja should be in the starting lineup. IMO, Djenepo is direct and does more positive, than negative. Not much else to say.
Nitromethane said: If I wanted to watch dreadful football , I'd go to Fratton Park. Ralph has to go. Our Xmas present will be relegation zone.

If Shane long is the answer, we’re asking all of the wrong questions. #saintsfc

Every interview Ralph gives, I just get more and more Ralph out tbh. #SaintsFC

We are really missing S Armstrong. He is far more capable of making things happen than Redmond or Djenepo. #saintsfc

Subs made things worse and that takes some doing

What has Tella done to Ralph?
Well that was awful, no creativity, no quality. If Shane Long is being brought on to change a game in the Premier League you've got issues #SaintsFC

The best bit every time is the band just before the start - they are brilliant but sadly the players then come out & put a stop to the entertainment! #SaintsFC
