SAINTS B’s horrid run of form continues as they chuck away 2-0 lead from inside 11 minutes to lose again, this time at Birmingham City.

It looked like David Horseman’s side might just have claimed their first win of the entire 2021-22 campaign when Dom Ballard opened the scoring one minute in, compounded by Caleb Watts’ super strike to double.

But it all began to unravel for the young Saints who were facing second-bottom in Premier League 2 Division Two, and now they remain at the foot of the table.

A Kyle Hurst brace sandwiched a George Hall equaliser to complete the turnaround before half-time for the hosts, and no real second-half action meant they held on take all three points.

Dynel Simeu had returned to the side after he missed the 6-0 defeat to West Brom in the Premier League Cup towards the end of last week, but to no avail.

They’ve now lost five consecutive games in all competitions, conceding fifteen and scoring just twice, following on from a relegation last season that saw them drop out of the under-23s top-flight.

The last time they registered a win was a 1-0 victory over Derby on February 21, at AFC Totton’s Snows Stadium.
