TINO Livramento insists that Saints aren’t drawn into looking at the Premier League table and “just focus on our game,” ahead of the trip to Watford on Saturday.

The Hertfordshire outfit, now under the management of Premier League winner Claudio Ranieri, leapfrogged Saints in the standings last weekend when they pulled off a shock 5-2 victory at Everton’s Goodison Park.

The Hornets were losing with under 15 minutes to play but a Josh King hattrick helped claim their first of the season, while Saints were pegged back from a winning position to draw 2-2 with Burnley.

Only Norwich, Newcastle, Clarets and Leeds United have fewer points than Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side after nine games played.

“Looking to that game (Watford), it will be physical,” Livramento told the Daily Echo, “it will be fast, they’re going to be an aggressive team.

“We will stick to what we do best and be positive, and we can get three points definitely.”

On the standings, he added: “We just focus on our game, I think that’s the main thing, picking up points is all we can worry about, we can’t allow outside influences.

“We just want to keep building on our performances and where we finish will be determined by how well we play.”
