WATFORD will be without several squad members including important forward Emmanuel Dennis after his yellow card at Everton saw him pick up a one-match suspension.
The 23-year-old Nigerian frontman was introduced from the bench at Goodison Park and laid on two assists and scored to turn his side from 2-1 down to 5-2 winners by the close of play – his third goal of the campaign.
However, a yellow card he picked up soon after coming on was his fifth of the season and Claudio Ranieri’s side will now be without him for Saints’ visit on Saturday.
The club also confirmed that Francisco Sierralta, Christian Kabasele and Peter Etebo will all miss out through injury concerns, while Kiko Femenia is still a doubt due to a knock he sustained against Liverpool.
They are boosted by the return of former England international Danny Rose, though, whose calf injury saw him miss the trip to Everton last weekend.
The left-back returned to full training under Ranieri this week.
Watford leapfrogged Saints in the Premier League table with the three points over Everton, and now sit 14th with three wins and a draw from their opening nine games.
Meanwhile, Saints have won just one but have picked up five draws and only been defeated on three occasions.
