IBRAHIMA Diallo responds to suggestions of a potential Watford resurgence with new manager Claudio Ranieri insisting: “It’s always difficult, we have to be ready for this game.”
The 22-year-old Frenchman has relished in an opportunity to be in Saints’ starting XI while James Ward-Prowse has been out suspended following his red card at Stamford Bridge at the beginning of October.
In his two Premier League starts, Saints picked up a first win of the season against Leeds United but couldn’t hold on for a victory in the clash with Burnley, despite Diallo assisting for Armando Broja to take the lead in the second half.
And results elsewhere saw Watford climb above Saints in the Premier League table.
Speaking to the Daily Echo: “Like every game, we want to win (against Watford).
“Especially when we don’t win a lot of games this season. So I think it is important to win, to take three points and yeah, we will be ready.”
The Hornets have got a new manager already this season, in Leicester’s title-winning hero Ranieri.
And asked if a new-manager bounce is something to be worried about, Diallo responded: “It’s always difficult, we have to do the videos and we have to be ready for this game.”
