DESPITE facing pressure from being the lowest point-scoring team in the Premier League throughout the year, Ralph Hasenhuttl has turned Saints around.
His side have picked up 10 points from the last four matches and a visit to bottom-of-the-table Norwich up next.
Now, Saints are remarkably just three points off Manchester United in fifth, despite still being 13th themselves.
As such, supporters have been sharing their opinions on the Austrian boss online and although not everyone is convinced, the turnaround has worked wonders for morale.

Here is what our Daily Echo readers are saying about Hasenhuttl:
yesitsmee: I said a while back we had to sort the defence out first.... Well done to Ralph and the lads for seemingly stabilising it? The trick now is to maintain that base, while adjusting/progressing our MF and forward play.
nothingimportanttosay: Grinding out results and looking a better unit defensively than last year. Nice to see Ralph change things when Villa were on top and the change having the desired effect.
Saint99: I'm delighted to see this winning run continuing but Ralph does need to help our players score more goals when we are on top.
lesdeux: Would love to know what Hassentaclue says to them at half time, the man is magic, he turns a winning team into a team who struggles. shame he can't bottle it.
MarkMatthews: The game management was really poor in the second half and Ralph clearly felt he needed the defensive solidity of the back 5. I like the responsiveness from him but the team doesnt know how to attack out of that formation so it just invites so much pressure.
On social media, supporters added:
If Brighton and Graham Potter are having a 'fantastic season' on 17 points... how about Ralph Hasenhüttl's Southampton team who are only 3 behind on 14 points? 🤔😇 #SaintsFC pic.twitter.com/LhABJiiun4

After 11 games we are 3 points off of 5th place after being winless in 7.

We have won 10 out of a possible 12 points in the last 4 games and have 5 clean sheets.
Let’s continue this form and push on. The team looks rejuvenated compared to last season.
Big 👏🏻 to Ralph #SaintsFC pic.twitter.com/jPnVdERjTm
So happy Ralph is proving me wrong. He clearly loves the club as much as most fans. Last night was a line up that made sense and good subs that changed the game. Love him going mad at Diallo to hurry up and be ready to get subbed on... Shows passion #SaintsFC

I know some fans are still not fully convinced on Ralph …. But come on let’s be honest how good does it feel to have the feel good factor back at the club again… At the stadium and on the social media… this is what we have ALL been waiting for… 😀😍 #SaintsFC

Ralph deserves proper credit for his tactical work last night. #SaintsFC played Villa off the park in the first half, and then he made good changes in the second half to tighten up when they responded. We would have been out of sight if Stuart Armstrong taken had his chance.
