SAINTS supporters were left feeling disappointed after a second-half collapse saw Norwich take a 2-1 win at Carrow Road.

A lot of the disappointment was aimed at what they considered to be unsatisfactory substitutions which failed to change the tide of the match.

Goalscorer Che Adams was among those replaced, with experienced Theo Walcott brought on in his place.

Lyanco was also later introduced as Ralph Hasenhuttl admitted he was hoping to take at least a point, while Norwich were in the ascendancy.

However, the Austrian boss later said that his subs "didn't have the effect wanted," and supporters have been sharing their views since.

Our Daily Echo readers said:

AndyT in Salt Lake City, USA: First of all the substitutions were ridiculous, other than Broja. Why put Walcott up top moving A Armstrong out wide? Exactly what impact was Lyanco supposed to have? Is it his fault we didn't score after he came on?

Crazy_World: Questionable sub decisions seem to be something in common with Southgate.

JanisB: A good substitution Broja for Moi, great, I thought, a twin spearhead with Adams and blow me down 5 minutes later Adams off Walcott on. What was the theory on that move?

SwishBish: Ralph subs cost us the game. Couldn't understand the decision to bring on an extra centre back. Tella was the obvious choice for second or third sub.

mike cowell: Ralph, your changes made us a weaker team.

Kwakalad: Totally bewildered by sub choices, saw this coming at half time!

Frankie Bennett: Oh Ralph, what an absolute mess that second half was.
