TWO Sholing youngsters have been selected for England Schoolboys under-18s for the 2021/22 season.
Duo Tom Gruzewski and Joe Adams have received call-ups ahead of next year's Centenary Shield, where England will face off with the other home nations.
They are joined in the squad of 18 by fellow Hampshire schoolboy Harvey Keogh, a goalkeeper in Aldershot's academy.
Guernsey-born Adams travelled to Cobham for a trial with Premier League giants Chelsea back in October. Since moving to Hampshire, Adams has also been involved with Eastleigh's academy.
The pair, who have already featured for Sholing's first team, join the likes of Jermain Defoe and Chris Smalling as players called-up to the Schoolboys under-18s side.
It has been announced that England will face the Republic of Ireland at Eastleigh's Silverlake Stadium on Friday 8 April.
Sholing are currently unbeaten since the start of November, with five wins and two draws during that period.
The Boatmen are neck-and-neck with local rivals AFC Totton, with both sides vying for promotion. The two Hampshire sides are on 36 points after 17 games played, six points behind league leaders Frome Town but with a game in hand.
The festive period will see the two sides duke it out on the pitch, with Sholing hosting the Stags at the Mackoy Stadium on New Year's Day.
Before that, they visit another Hampshire side in the promotion picture - Winchester City, who sit just outside the playoffs with 31 points. The Boatmen travel up the M3 on Boxing Day.
