THERE is no doubt that Havant & Waterlooville will get a great reception at Anfield next week.
I always enjoyed playing Liverpool away. We were always applauded and appreciated and I'm sure it will be the same for the Havant lads when they play their FA Cup fourth-round tie next week.
As I was following their 4-2 win against Swansea I recalled playing a reserve team game at Waterlooville during my playing career.
I also smiled as I remembered scoring twice in a 2-1 league cup win against Liverpool at Anfield in 1960.
But I just wish I'd been able to watch the night of glory for Sean Gale, above, and his boys..
We were covering Manchester City's win against West Ham on M-Net Supersport but there is no doubt the BBC missed a trick by not screening the match that showed what the FA Cup is all about.
We could all have watched Manchester City play West Ham in the Premiership this weekend, for goodness sake.
