SAINTS and Rangers are both interested in Dundee United goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist, according to a report in the Scottish Daily Mail.

Siegrist, a former Switzerland under-21 international, has played more than 100 games for the Tannadice club.

The Mail claim Scottish champions Rangers are preparing a pre-contract move for Siegrist, whose contract at Dundee United is said to expire at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old, formerly of Aston Villa, has also reportedly attracted interest from clubs in Germany, France and Belgium, as well as being "on the radar" of Saints.

Siegrist was part of the Switzerland squad at the London 2012 Olympics.

Saints currently have four first-team goalkeepers on the books in Fraser Forster, Alex McCarthy, Willy Caballero and Harry Lewis.

However, all four are currently set to see their contracts expire this summer, although reports in recent months suggested McCarthy was close to penning a new deal.
