SAINTS confirm the signing of centre-back Nico Lawrence from non-league Glebe FC on an 18-month contract.
The 19-year-old defender had been on trial with the B team and lands a contract with the club, where he will continue his development in Dave Horseman’s youth side.
The deal to keep him at the club until June 2023 staves off interest from the likes of Spurs and AFC Bournemouth, that had been reported elsewhere.
Lawrence spent his youth development with Fulham and Crystal Palace before spells with Sutton United and London-based Kinetic Academy.
His former side, Glebe FC, compete in the Kent Southern Counties divisions.
