THREE Saints stars went head-to-head in a 1-1 draw between Scotland and Poland, as a last-minute penalty denied the Tartan Army a seventh consecutive international win.
Striker Che Adams and defender Jan Bednarek were both included in the starting XI as their countries played in a friendly at Hampden Park.
Scotland were due to be playing Ukraine in a crucial World Cup qualifier, but that has been postponed until a likely date of June following the conflict in the country.
Should they win in that play-off, Adams and Stuart Armstrong – who was used as a substitute in this clash – will face Wales at Cardiff for a place in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Bednarek and Poland, meanwhile, will decide their World Cup fate when they host Sweden next week. Ralph Hasenhuttl admitted he rested Bednarek during their FA Cup loss to Manchester City, with that crucial game coming up.
It was Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney who headed Scotland in front on this occasion, though. Armstrong was introduced in the 77th minute while Bednarek then made way in the 83rd.
Krzysztof Piątek went down under a slight Grant Hanley challenge in additional time and slammed the resultant spot-kick down the middle to see the scores finish level.
