EASTLEIGH have tied down fan favourite Ryan Hill for another two years.

And silky winger Hill has already detailed his aims for next campaign – by picking up more goals and assists.

Hill's new deal will take his stay with the Spitfires until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

24-year-old Hill initially joined the Spitfires from sixth tier Hampton & Richmond in October 2020.

After being spotted in the Southern Premier League with Beaconsfield Town, Hill was picked up by then Premier League side Stoke City in the April 2017.

Hill then departed the professional game in order to find game time with Hampton & Richmond, where he was again stand out, notching eight goals with 14 assists during the 2019-20 season.

Since arriving in Hampshire, the former Stoke youngster has made 67 appearances, contributing eight goals and providing nine assists.

The news follows the announcement of Eastleigh’s retained and released list earlier this week, with Hill named alongside goalkeeper Charlie Philpott as two players still in negotiations over a new deal.

Sharing his delight to extend his stay with the Spitfires, Hill told the club’s website: “I’m delighted to extend my time here; I've enjoyed every minute so far and I can't wait to continue."

"On the pitch, numbers speak volumes and next season I want to bring more goals and more assists to help the team."

Hill made his return from injury in the pulsating 4-4 draw with Grimsby Town on the final day, winning a point-saving penalty in the final minute.

This campaign Hill made a total of 31 league appearances, scoring three times.
