LINDA Compton was the worthy winner of the Hampshire Ladies Golf annual stableford championship.
Compton, of Bramshott Hill Golf Club, enjoyed a fine debut, winning with 38 points at Alresford Golf Club, in a field of 87 ladies.
In club events, Jackie Howells and Jan Merrett beat Mary Annetts and Cathy Davis to win the Bramshott Spring Cup.
On the men's side, Stuart Bulbrooke and John Bailey were the winners of the latest round of competition, while Gerry Murphy emerged victorious in the George Reay Memorial Trophy, with a score of 44 points.
There was also a hole in one during that event, courtesy of Henry Porter on the 11th.
Meanwhile, a team of Bramshott seniors travelled to Ampfield Golf Club for an inter-club match play competition.
Bramshott won the day by five games to one, with a return match scheduled for later in the year.
