SAINTS have announced their first major signing of the summer transfer window with Manchester City goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu arriving at St Mary’s.
The 20-year-old Republic of Ireland international may raise an eyebrow to those who are not familiar with his work, after experienced 34-year-old Fraser Forster exited the club for free.
But Bazunu comes highly tipped by everyone who has ever worked with him, and he already has built up a portfolio of impressive saves across his spells.

Bazunu signs a five-year deal to remain at St Mary’s until 2027 and will likely push Alex McCarthy for the number one shirt. After all, he is one of the few goalkeepers to stop a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty.
