EASTLEIGH have arguably been handed the toughest possible test to start the season – an away trip to North Wales to face National League big spenders Wrexham.

Lee Bradbury’s charges will travel to the Racecourse on Saturday, August 6, to begin their campaign.

Hollywood-backed Wrexham finished second last term, missing out in the play-offs, and ultimately, promotion.

The Welsh club, owned by stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, turned heads when they prised Ben Tozer from League One Cheltenham.

Spitfires will host Wealdstone the following weekend in their first home game, whilst their first Bank Holiday game, at the end of August, is an away trip to Barnet on Monday, August 26.

A festive double header will take place against newcomers Dorking Wanderers.

Marc White’s Dorking, who have risen from park football to the highest level of non-league, will host Eastleigh on Boxing Day, before visiting the Silverlake Stadium six days later, on New Year’s Day.

At Easter, the Spitfires travel down to Torquay United on Good Friday (Friday, April 7 2023), before hosting Aldershot Town in a Hampshire Derby on Easter Monday (Monday, April 10).

The first meeting between the Hampshire duo will take place at the EBB Stadium midweek, on Tuesday, October 4.

Solihull Moors, who were defeated in the play-off final last term, will be the last side to visit the Silverlake, on Saturday, April 22.

Eastleigh’s final game will be a trip to Yorkshire, where they face Halifax Town on Saturday, April 29.
