SAINTS are reportedly “looking at a bargain deal” for Lyon forward Moussa Dembele.

The Sun are reporting the St Mary’s side have the Frenchman in their sights as he enters the final year of his contract – and he may be available for around £10million.

Formerly of Fulham and Celtic, Dembele joined Lyon in 2018 and has netted 67 goals in 143 senior appearances for the French side.

After the departures of Armando Broja back to Chelsea following his loan spell, and Shane Long due to the expiry of his contract, Saints currently have Adam Armstrong, Che Adams and Nathan Tella as forward options.

Nathan Redmond and Theo Walcott have also previously played up front for boss Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Saints have already made five signings this summer, in the form of Gavin Bazunu, Mateusz Lis, Armel Bella-Kotchap, Romeo Lavia and Joe Aribo.
