MOHAMMED Salisu could make his international debut for Ghana later this month, after being named in his country's 29-man squad for two upcoming friendlies.
The Saints centre-back is understood to have turned down approaches from his nation in the past, which saw him miss this year's Africa Cup of Nations.

Speaking in April 2021, Salisu said: "I think this is not the right moment to play in the national team.
"I think I need to focus on the club side because I am young, I think I need to focus on the club first and then after, when everything is fine, I can go and play for Ghana.”
Now 23, Salisu has opted to make the move to the international stage, with Ghana set to compete in the World Cup later this year.
They have been drawn in a group alongside Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay for the tournament in Qatar.
Before that, Otto Addo's Black Stars will face Brazil on September 23 in France, before heading to Spain for a match against Nicaragua on September 27.
Salisu has played every minute of Saints' six Premier League matches so far this season.
