SAINTS defender Armel Bella-Kotchap has been included in the senior Germany squad for the first time, as they prepare for Nations League games against Hungary and England.
The 20-year-old has been rewarded following a sublime start to the season for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men.
Having signed from VfL Bochum in June this summer, the centre-back has not missed a minute in his club’s past five Premier League encounters – forming an impressive partnership alongside Ghanaian Mohammed Salisu.
And having represented Germany at under-18, under-20, under-21, Bella-Kotchap could make his first senior appearance under boss Hansi Flick this month.
Germany are set to host Hungary in Leipzig on Friday, September 23, before they visit England on Monday, September 26.
Bella-Kotchap faces competition from the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Niklas Sule and Matthias Ginter for a centre-half spot.
