SAINTS will come up against a young goalkeeper with just one Charlton league game to his name this weekend.
Rob Elliot, 21, came on after just three minutes of last weekend's 2-1 win at Plymouth after regular No 1 Nicky Weaver was red carded for handling outside his area.Though it was a baptism of fire for Elliot on his Charlton debut after four years at the club, the youngster performed admirably against Paul Sturrock's fellow play-off hopefuls. But Addicks boss Alan Pardew could well recall 20-year-old Darren Randolph from his loan spell with League 2 club Bury.Randolph has played 14 games for the club Saints knocked out of the FA Cup in January since moving to Gigg Lane at the beginning of February. He has also had loan spells with Accrington and Gillingham. But the Dublin-born shot-stopper has also played just one league game for Charlton - the 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield on the final day of last season. For full story see today's Daily Echo.
