SAINTS reserves were seconds away from winning the Pontins Holiday Combination Central Division title tonight.
David McGoldrick had put Saints ahead in the 76th minute against QPR and that looked as if it was going to be enough to give Stewart Henderson's men victory and the championship.
But Lee Brown levelled in the closing seconds to leave Saints needing to win their final game against Watford at Boreham Wood on May 1 to pip Charlton to the title.
Saints started with Marek Saganowski and Vincent Pericard up front, but both were withdrawn at half-time with McGoldrick and Cedric Baseya sent on in their place.
Alex Ostlund and Nathan Dyer also started for Saints.
