NIGEL Pearson says he won't put himself "through hell" by watching the scores roll in tomorrow afternoon.
With Saints not in action until Monday night, the St Mary's boss isn't entirely sure what he'll be doing come 3pm tomorrow.
But he knows one thing - he won't be watching the TV as the scores from the games involving Saints' relegation rivals roll in.
Saints don't play until Monday when they travel to leaders West Brom, but with Leicester taking on Sheffield Wednesday his team could go into their penultimate game in the bottom three.
However, Pearson feels there's little point sitting around worrying about it.
He said: "I've not quite decided what I'm doing yet but I certainly won't be sitting in front of the tele putting myself through hell.
"That would be counter-productive.
"It's not easy but it's the situation and we've got to deal with it.
"On Monday night we could find ourselves in the bottom three and if that's the case we need to get ourselves out of the bottom three.
"It's in our hands and hopefully we'll go into the last game with that being the case.
"It is important that we don't get too distracted by what happens elsewhere.
