EASTLEIGH manager Ian Baird admitted his side didn't deserve to make the Blue Square South play-offs after a dismal end to the season.
The Spitfires picked up just three points from their final six games, culminating in Saturday's 4-1 thrashing at a Thurrock side who had nothing to play for.
As a result, Eastleigh narrowly missed out on the play-off place that had looked so assured just a few weeks ago.
But Baird was furious at the officiating during the loss at Thurrock, which he believed cost them the game.
"The first goal is blatantly offside and then there was the penalty that never was a penalty," he said.
"It's hit Anthony Riviere on his chest and he's been sent off. The referee couldn't wait to get the red card out.
"We've had some bad luck today."
