NIGEL Pearson has said he expects his players to put in one of their best performances of the season at the Hawthorns tonight.
The Saints boss admitted Saturday's results, which saw Saints slip into the bottom three, could not have been any worse for his side.
And he is under no illusions that tonight's trip to face title favourites West Brom, who can effectively secure promotion with a point, will be a difficult one.
However, Pearson said the players are fully aware of what is required and he expects an impressive display in front of the Sky TV cameras.
"They have been very positive and I expect them to go and put in one of our best performances, because that's what's required at this stage," he said.
"We need a big performance from everybody concerned and the players have a responsibility and obligation to go and do that.
"It's a game that is live on television and people will be watching us, so we have got to put in the best performance that we can."
