SAINTS starlet Samuel Edozie opened his account for England’s under-20 side on Tuesday night, helping the Young Lions to a 3-0 victory over Chile in his first game at that age level.
First-half goals from one-time Saints target Liam Delap and full-back Daniel Oyegoke were added to by Edozie shortly after the hour-mark, with England cruising through the friendly fixture without concern.
Winger Edozie was a threat throughout, firing off multiple shots and winning numerous free-kicks as the Chileans could not contain the startlet.
The Young Lions continue their build-up to next summer’s under-20 World Cup in Indonesia with two further friendlies, taking in more games against worldly opposition.
They host African side Morocco before entertaining Australia’s under-20 side.
