YOUNG striker Dom Ballard scored twice on his first start for England under-18, firing his side to a 2-1 victory over Faroe Islands.
The 17-year-old forward received a first call-up to the age group after stellar form saw him nominated for the Premier League 2 player of the month award for August.
In the mini Pinatar tournament in Spain, Ballard made his debut as a substitute in the opening match with victory over Netherlands.
Then given, his first start, Ballard repaid coach Neil Ryan’s faith with a double to seal victory ahead of their final clash with Belgium on Monday.
