AFC Totton cruised through to round two of the Southampton Senior Cup, beating Ringwood Town 4-0, writes George Venn.
In the 26th minute, the Stags made their possession count, with electric wide-man Jake Adams driving home to the keeper’s left.
Two disallowed goals for the visitors were all the first-half had to offer, but Ethan Taylor doubled the Stags’ lead just seven minutes into the second-half, sliding the ball calmly into the bottom corner.
Just four minutes later, Scott Rendell climbed highest to head home a third, courtesy of Taylor’s cross.
Man-of-the-match Taylor doubled his tally to make it four for the Stags after a sumptuous chest from Rendell, curling one firmly into the top corner to send the away fans home happy.
The win follows Jimmy Ball's Stags also progressing in the FA Trophy at the weekend, where they dispatched of Berkhamsted.
They will head to Merthyr Town in the next round on October 8.
