AFC Totton claimed three points with a three-goal win over Slimbridge in the Southern League Division One South.
A brace from Scott Rendell and Brett Williams was more than enough for the Stags to claim a first league win since August, with the majority of their recent fixtures taking place in the FA Cup and FA Trophy.
Stags came close early on when livewire Ethan Taylor’s mazy run ended with an effort clanging off the post.
Veteran striker Rendell opened the scoring 14 minutes into the encounter, his looping header evading the reach of Slimbridge ‘keeper Lewis Adams.
Six minutes later, Williams doubled the hosts’ lead, poking the ball beyond Adams.
Totton continued their dominance into the second period, eventually adding a third via the penalty spot after Jake Adams was swiped out by Adams.
Rendell converted the 70th minute spot kick, before being denied a hat-trick by the goalpost.
Totton: Noice, Seddon, Jefford (Oyebamiji, 81), Carter, Kennedy, Hallet, Taylor, Masterton (Read, 46), Rendell, Williams (Woods, 46), Adams
Unused subs: Odubade, Tomasso
