REDDITCH United booked their place in the second round of the FA Trophy with a 3-1 victory over AFC Totton.
The game took a worrying turn early after Totton’s Jireh Oyebamiji was involved in a hefty collision in the first minute, resulting in a lengthy delay.
The hosts took advantage of their slightly shell-shocked opponents, Bernard Mensah heading in from a corner, before Danny King also converted from close range for a 2-0 half-time lead.
The visitors responded in the second half, with Scott Rendell pulling one back from the penalty spot.
But the Stags could not find an equaliser however, thwarted by goalkeeper Kieran Boucher and by the crossbar, before a late Reece Flanagan penalty put the result beyond doubt.
