AFC TOTTON put on an awesome attacking display to run out 6-1 winners against Tavistock AFC at Snows Stadium.
It did not take long for Stags to take the lead, as they built a lovely move into the right-hand side of the box where Matty Burrows slotted home following a pull-back from Scott Rendell.
Several minutes later, Totton would have a chance to double their advantage from the penalty spot after Conor Whiteley was brought down.
Totton’s top goal scorer Scott Rendell appeared to calmly slot it home, only for it to be ruled out moments later, after he was adjudged to have stopped in his run-up and was booked.
Rendell and Burrows combined for another goal again, with the striker passing it across the six-yard box allowing the young winger to fire home.
Burrows completed his hat-trick just before half-time, receiving the ball from a short corner and lobbing it into the far post.
Ethan Taylor made it 4-0 in the 66th minute, firing home with a shot from 30 yards after a layoff from Charlie Davis’ free-kick.
Taylor then grabbed his second, slotting into the bottom right corner from a Burrows through ball to make it five. The visitors netted a consolation, but Burrows scored his fourth of the game to kill the game off.
