SAINTS forward Nathan Tella added to his impressive Championship goal haul as he helped loan club Burnley to a 3-0 victory at Queens Park Rangers.

Having already led 2-0 at Loftus Road thanks to Johan Berg Gudmundsson and Ian Maatsen, Tella struck with 19 minutes remaining for the league leaders.

After former Burnley man Jimmy Dunne failed to chest back to keeper Senny Dieng, Tella Nipped in to round the keeper and coolly slot in from an acute angle.

The goal was the 23-year-old’s seventh in 21 appearances for Vincent Kompany’s Clarets – the Turf Moor side are top of the second tier with 44 points from 22 league games.

Tella signed a fresh contract with Saints in January 2022, extending his commitment to the club until 2025.

The Stevenage-born star joined Saints’ academy in 2017 following his release from Arsenal.
