SAINTS are reportedly considering former Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch, less than a week after his sacking.

The St Mary’s side have liked the former Red Bull boss for a long time, following a near four-year stint with RB Leipzig’s Ralph Hasenhuttl until November last year.

Sport Republic replaced the Austrian with Championship manager of the year Nathan Jones, but the Welshman has lost his job after just over three months.

Jones was defeated in seven of his eight Premier League matches, with the latest coming despite Wolves being down to 10 men for over 60 minutes at St Mary’s.

Several outlets, including United States National Men’s Team source Tactical Manager, have reported that Saints have now revived their interest in Marsch.

The American was sacked at Leeds just last week after picking up 19 points from their 21 matches so far this campaign – ahead of a meeting with Manchester United today.

Marsch was appointed at Elland Road in February 2022 and oversaw the side’s survival on the final day of the season, despite being in the relegation zone heading into the afternoon.
