SAINTS are reportedly tracking Aberdeen forward Bojan Miovski after a stellar first season with the Scottish Premiership outfit.

The North Macedonian international has hit 15 goals in 27 league appearances following a summer move from MTK Budapest and is enjoying his best campaign in professional football.

Miovski, 23, joined for a fee well under £1million after spells playing in his home country before two years in the Hungarian capital.

Miovski has already earned 13 caps for his nation, scoring once, and also bagged against Rangers in the Scottish League Cup semi-final – which Aberdeen lost – last month.

The Scottish Sun report that Saints are keeping tabs on the forward’s development and that scouts watched him play during a 4-0 defeat at Celtic Park.

The Macedonian was substituted at half-time of that miserable afternoon but their interest is said to have continued despite this.

Saints are currently bottom of the Premier League with 14 games left of the season still to play, following a 1-0 defeat at relegation rivals Leeds United on Saturday.

They have recently added two forwards in the shape of Kamaldeen Sulemana and Paul Onuachu on deadline day of the January transfer window.

Both are still hunting for the first goals of their Saints careers – while Saints could need to again reorganise their attack depending on where they finish this season.

The summer transfer window will open in June, when the club’s Premier League or Championship fate is sealed.
