A SUPERB second-half performance spearheaded AFC Totton to the top of their Southern League table as they thrashed Paulton Rovers 7-0, writes Olly Howard.
Scott Rendell dispatched his penalty after some fine work by Tommy Wright on the left, who turned provider again - assisting Ethan Taylor’s rasping drive
Taylor doubled his tally in the second half, beating the offside trap and confidently placing it beyond Sainsbury- before he completed his hattrick with another great strike.
Rendell added a hattrick of his own, placing a pinpoint cross by Taylor and finishing a scrappy tap-in just moments after.
Charlie Davis put the cherry on the Stags' cake, scoring from a brilliant Adam Tomasso cross.
The result puts Totton level on points with former league leaders Sholing, with three games in hand and a superior goal difference.
