SAINTS defender Kyle Walker-Peters insisted teammate Tino Livramento is “looking really good” in training ahead of his injury return.
Livramento, 20, took a big step in the right direction with 45 minutes in the B team’s 2-0 win over Stoke City last Friday.
Speaking to the Daily Echo after the match, Livramento admitted he wants to make a return to the senior team within the final seven matches of the Premier League season.
Fellow full-back Walker-Peters is excited to see him play for the first time since an ACL injury last April but urged him to take his time.
🚨 Amazing to chat with Tino Livramento, who stayed to watch with Mum and Dad.

He's come through with such a positive mindset, we're all behind him.

“We’re all really happy for Tino, throughout his two injuries everyone has been around him supporting him,” Walker-Peters told the Daily Echo. “It’s great to see him back on the pitch.
“I think he is aware he needs to take things slowly with two big injuries, but he’s looking really good and hopefully we get to see him on the pitch before the end of the season.”
Livramento was in attendance at St Mary’s for the 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday, which sees Saints remain bottom of the Premier League.
The England under-21 international, who signed for Saints from Chelsea's academy in the summer of 2021, has made 32 club appearances in all competitions, scoring once.
