SAINTS defender Tino Livramento is available for selection again after battling injury for over a year.
The 20 year old could make his playing return at Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday – the very same place he suffered an ACL injury in April 2022.
Livramento was stretchered off at Amex Stadium and went on to require two surgeries and had a further setback in the winter halting his progress.
The former Chelsea youngster returned to play for the B team in April but felt a reaction in his knee following the match, further limiting his involvement.
Manager Ruben Selles has now confirmed the right-back is finally ready to play a part and he could feature in the final two games of the relegated club’s season.
“We have only one change from last week and it is that Tino Livramento is finally selectable for the team,” Selles confirmed.
“We have a restriction on his time of course but he possibly will be in the squad on Sunday.
“He’s happy, he’s just ready to go and to play and it is very good news for the club to get one player like Tino who is very, very important for the club at present and in the future.
“I’m very happy for him, finally it looks like he can get past the injury and look ahead to the future.”
Livramento spoke exclusively to the Daily Echo about his troubles last month, admitting: “It’s a part of my journey to get to the top.
“I’ve just got to relish the moment and look to push on. It’s been tough obviously watching this season.
“It’s made me understand how I can impact the team if I come back, and bring something different. We’ve got time to put it right and that’s the main thing.
“I’m not going to sit here and say I don’t want to play before the end of the season as I feel that’s easily achievable for me. The medical staff behind me are always going to back me.”
Brighton & Hove Albion vs Saints kicks off on Sunday at 2PM, with a visit from Liverpool seven days later to complete the Premier League campaign.
