SAINTS have launched their 2023-24 season home kit, with the side wearing a remake of the iconic 1987-89 jersey in the Championship this campaign.
Created in partnership with hummel, the new kit is a nod to that worn by Matt Le Tissier, Alan Shearer, Franny Benali, and Wallace brothers Danny, Rod and Ray,
This classic shirt has a twist as each of this season’s kits celebrates a different element of the Saints crest, under the new campaign ‘For the Badge’.
The home shirt focuses on the Hampshire rose, with over a thousand roses subtly printed into the shirt in a diagonal pattern. On the reverse of the shirt, the Hampshire rose proudly sits.
The shirt is matched with black shorts, featuring white chevrons of hummel’s iconic design trademark and white socks complete with red chevrons.
The 2023-24 goalkeeper’s kit has been inspired by the halo element of the club crest and the original stained glass windows of St Mary’s Church.
The home goalkeeper’s shirt is black, with a striking stained glass window effect design in yellow. On the reverse of the shirt, at the nape of the neck sits the halo. The kit is complete with black shorts and black socks, featuring the iconic hummel chevrons in white.
The club remains fully committed to creating a positive impact on the environment, as part of its dedicated sustainability strategy, The Halo Effect.
The on-pitch and replica shirts have been produced using Eco8 material made from fabric created using recycled plastic bottles. Approximately eight recycled bottles go into every shirt.
For the first time, the club announced it will sell limited-run replica shirts specifically for the Women’s team, which will proudly have Starling Bank on the front.
The 2023-24 men’s and women’s adult home shirts will be priced at £55 RRP, with both available in men’s and women’s sizes. The shirts in junior size are priced at £44 RRP.
Fans will be able to purchase shirts in-store and online as well as via the club’s new click-and-collect service with the same-day collection. The club store will be open from 10AM until 8PM each day between June 19-23, to accommodate those wanting to pick up the new shirt after work.
Charlie Boss, chief commercial officer for Saints, said: “We’re excited to bring back a shirt that is a fan favourite and such an iconic design.
“With our 2023-24 season kit, we wanted to really celebrate the crest and history of our club. We can’t wait to see these shirts adorn our players and fans alike throughout the season as our men’s and women’s teams strive for promotion to the top flight.”
