AFC TOTTON have announced that former Lymington Town manager Dave Lewis has joined the club’s management staff ahead of the 2023-24 season.
The Stags are preparing for life in the Southern League Premier Division South having gained promotion last season.
The move sees Lewis reunited with Paul Masters, who spent a brief period of time as joint manager alongside the 52 year old before he departed for Snows Stadium.
Jimmy Ball has welcomed Lewis into his coaching staff with open arms, saying: “I’ve known Dave for 25 years or more.
"I had played 10 non-league games and hated every minute of it and was ready to quit until Dave ‘Mad Dog’ Lewis turned up at BAT, and I ended up staying for a good while longer largely due to him.
“As well as enjoying Dave’s company, I benefitted massively from his football knowledge.

“Last season Dave had his Lymington Town team so well-drilled and organised that in both matches against them we really had to work hard and think on our feet to find a way to beat them.
“They made it very difficult and it’s that sort of knowhow – to get players up for it and motivated week-in, week-out, irrespective of the last result – that can win you valuable points throughout a long, arduous season.
“You can never have enough good football people around you, and that’s what we’re getting by bringing Dave Lewis to the football club.”
